About Dr. Hauenstein
Dr. Anita L. Hauenstein is a Licensed Psychologist who received her M. Ed. and Ph.D. from Auburn University. She has been in practice in the Nashville area since 2001. Dr. Hauenstein received her M. Div. degree from Vanderbilt Divinity School and her B.A. from Rhodes College and is an ordained minister in the UCC. Dr. Hauenstein is a member of the American Psychological Association, the Tennessee Psychological Association and the Nashville Psychotherapy Institute.
Dr. Hauenstein’s practice is focused primarily on adults, including work with individuals, couples and groups. She enjoys helping others to discover and use their strengths and resources to deal with life transitions, crises, difficulties and adjustments.
Dr. Hauenstein also provides personality and career testing to assist in defining issues and outlining goals. She is available to lead seminars, workshops and groups on subjects such as depression, dealing with difficult, aging parents, stress and self-care, and the healing power of humor, as well as other important topics of interest.
